Interviewer: Now in this film, do you think family is a major thing? Do you want audiences to walk away like feeling that Christmas feeling?John Witherspoon: Oh I think so. Oh yeah. We some crazy people. See Christmas is not Santa Clause coming down your chimney, bringing a big ol’ “Ho-ho-ho”, eat some milk and cookies. That’s not Christmas. That’s-that’s fantasy. This is a –this is a some twisted Christmas. These are real people. These-these, you know, the crazy people at Christmas time, the way that people live for real in life, you know? Not the little, “Dee-dee-dee…Here he come down the chimney. Boys and girls, look (singing).” No this is-this is a Santa. They kicking Santa’s butt in there. They put my butt in that damn movie (laughs). Santa’s stealing stuff.
