‘The Colonel's Review’ held in London ahead of Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - MAY 28: As part of the final rehearsal of Queen Elizabeth II's 70th anniversary (Platinum Jubilee) celebration preparations, 'The Colonel's Review' event was held in London, the capital city of the United Kingdom on Saturday (May 28).The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William carried out the Colonel's Review on Horse Guards Parade.The last time The Duke carried out this inspection was in 2017.A platinum jubilee marks a monarch’s 70th anniversary on the throne; no other British monarch has reached this milestone. The queen, 95, is already the longest-reigning monarch in British history – Queen Victoria ruled for 63 years.Elizabeth will officially mark her jubilee on Feb. 6, the day in 1952 when her father King George VI died and she acceded to the throne.
