Civil war in Sarajevo
The body of a civilian victim of the siege of Sarajevo lies on a sidewalk, surrounded by broken glass, during the Yugoslavian Civil War. The siege of the city continued until a cease-fire in October 1995, and was officially brought to an end after the signing of the Dayton agreements in November and a peace agreement in December.
