Leon Trotsky
Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky (1879-1940), was one of the leaders in the Bolshevik revolution in Russia in 1917. He was later ousted from the Soviet leadership after losing a power struggle with Josef Stalin. In 1929 he was deported from the U.S.S.R. and eventually ended up living in exile in Mexico City, where he was assassinated. (Photo by © CORBIS/Corbis via Getty Images)
