Juniper Valley Ranch restaurant opens for the season.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - APRIL 7: Dinners are always served family style that helps make diners feel more like they are eating at home than in a restaurant at Juniper Valley Ranch on April 7, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Being served is the baked ham. Also on the table is the house specialty skillet fried chicken, homemade biscuits, house made cream gravy, okra casserole and cole slaw all around. Juniper Valley Ranch is a popular restaurant along Highway 115 15 miles south of Colorado Springs. It is opening weekend for this family-run ranch and the restaurant's 68th season. Juniper Valley Ranch is a 4th generation family-owned restaurant that is known for "our legendary skillet fried chicken and simple, delicious dinners" as their website says. Everything on the menu is made from scratch using their grandmother's recipes since opening day in 1951. The restaurant is open from 1pm-7:30pm on Sunday. (Photo by Helen H.
