Allegory of the marriage of William V and Wilhelmina of Prussia in 1767 and the birth of Prince William Frederick on 24 August 1772. Two representations: at the top an allegory in which the princess standing on a pedestal receives the sealed book of marital bliss from Wisdom (Minerva). Also depicted are Virtue and the mayor of The Hague. The princess is crowned by Piety. In a smaller representation at the bottom, seven half-naked women, provincial virgins(?), dance before Prince Willem V on the occasion of the birth of Prince Willem Frederik.
