Jim Carrey is Enthusiastic About Being Involved in "The Truman Show"
Interview: This is a great, great film. The writing, the concept is so refreshing.
Jim Carrey: Thanks I know there’s a lot of great work that went into this thing. And when I read Andrew Niccol’s script to begin with I was, first of all I had that idea before and I was just so happy someone realized it you know. And I could still be part of it. Ah and then when Peter Weir got attached I was just you know I was in my glory. I was just so happy because he came to me with such excitement and child like vigor for this thing that I just went, “Well here’s a guy who doesn’t have to impress anyone who’s coming to this thing like it’s his first project and I would rive him and stuff and say, “I just want your best work ever.” That’s it, that’s all I’m asking for. But…the jewels in your crown.
