Senator McConnell floor remarks on Trump infrastructure plan

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says that with a bipartisan budget agreement in place, improve veterans care and texture tackle agile disaster relief in the opioid crisis. McConnell says the quality of infrastructure affects the long-term economic future and everyday routines, that nearly one in 10 bridges are structurally deficient, the average commuter loses 42 hours each year and delays and the average age of inland waterways, locks and dams is over 50 years old. McConnell says the problem runs deeper than dollars and cents, skyscrapers were built in less time than review of plans for new bridges and highways, pleased that President Donald Trump would remove regulatory barriers and streamline complicated permitting processes.
