Wounded white rhino being treated by wildlife vets

Female white rhinoceros being treated for a bullet wound to the head by a team of wildlife veterinarians in the Kruger National Park. The bullet missed her brain and exited the skull, however the wound was causing issues with her sight and health. The team of wildlife veterinarians darted the rhino from a helicopter and proceeded to clean the wound and take samples of her DNA in the process. The whole operation took less than 30 minutes, upon which the rhino was woken up and reunited with her young calf. There are just over 20,000 white rhino left in the wild.
