Drive-Through Funeral To Launch In Japan

An man in the driving seat attends a funeral at the first-ever 'Drive-Through' funeral hall during a press preview on December 15, 2017 in Ueda, Nagano, Japan. Attendees pull over in front of the large window where they can see the portrait of a deceased person, sign a condolence book using a tablet device and offer incense without leaving the driving seat. Funeral company 'LEXT-AI' expects more elderly and disabled people can participate in funerals with this 'drive-through' system and launches on December 17 at its funeral hall 'Ueda Minami Aishoden.'
