Close-up of a joint of pork prepared and ready to be roasted in the oven. With a nice find in the packet of bay leaves! This is a very traditional dish from Denmark often eaten at Christmas or a family gathering. The skin of the pork is cut then salt is rubbed into it, then dried bay leaves and cloves are inserted into the cuts to give the cooked meat a distinctive taste and smell. The meat is roasted in the oven until the skin goes crispy and turns a golden brown colour. Colour, horizontal with some copy space.
