Beaune is a historical city with many touristic attractions. It is the capital of Bourgogne wine region, in the east of France (roughly between Paris and Geneva), in the department of Côte d'Or, Burgundy (Bourgogne).
The Clock Tower of Beaunes (in French: "Beffroi" or "Tour de l'horloge"), is a tower built in the 13th century but was renovated and upgraded many times between the 16th and 19th centuries. It is on the list of Historical Monuments since 1885.
