French Polynesia Flag - stock photo

The flag of French Polynesia, adopted in 1984, must be displayed with the French tricolor and can also be shown with the flags of its archipelagos. It consists of two red horizontal bands enclosing a wide white band in a 1:2:1 ratio. The central emblem features a blue and white wave pattern representing the sea, a gold and white ray pattern symbolizing the sun, and a Polynesian canoe with five stars for the five island groups. Red and white are traditional Polynesian colors.
