Baume-les-Messieurs (Baume les Messieurs) is a small town located in the Jura department and classified among the most beautiful villages in France. It is also labeled city of character of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The town is located at the bottom of a caldera, surrounded by limestone cliffs of a hundred meters: it is one of the most famous steephead valley (known as "Reculée de Baume") in the Jura. The town is also a popular tourist area, well-known for its cave, waterfall and benedictine abbey.
