This image was taken in the Jameh Mosque (Masjid-e-Jameh) located in the old district of Borujerd city, Lorestan Province, Iran. The mosque is famous because it is the oldest mosque in western Iran and one of the oldest mosque in Iran (around 9th century). It was was built on an ancient Zoroastrian fire-temple, dating from pre-Islamic Sassanid dynasty. The mosque was bombed in the 1980s during the Iran-Iraq war, and was damaged later by earthquakes.
