ANURADHAPURA, NORTH CENTRAL PROVINCE, SRI LANKA - 2004/12/01: A woman prays at the Sri Maha Bodhi, or Holy Bodhi Tree. The tree has grown from a clipping of the original Bodhi tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment in India more than 2,500 years ago. The clipping was brought to Sri Lanka more than 2,000 years ago, and is reportedly the oldest continuously documented plant on Earth. The site is one of the holiest Buddhist places in Sri Lanka..
