(Original Caption) Willie Mays, the San Francisco Giants "Say Hey Kid," scored the 1000th major league run of his career against the Los Angeles Dodgers on September 10th, and the Dodgers feel that Willie has scored all 1000 against them. The Giants took the third and final game of the series by a score of 7-1, and virtually eliminated the Dodgers from pennant contention. The victory enabled the Giants to strengthen their hold on 4th place.
