Spy Executed by U.S. Army in Germany

United States Army physicians examine the body of Richard Jarczyk to be sure that he is dead after execution by a firing squad in Germany in 1945. Jarczyk was a Pole who fought for the Nazis in World War II by sabotaging equipment and supplies and killing U.S. soldiers at night behind the lines of the U.S. 7th Army. He was discovered when he attempted to run for mayor with the Military Government in Bruckweiler and later declared that he was a spy.
