(Original Caption) Forest Hills, N.Y.: Tracy Austin, 14-year-old tennis whiz, spent the Labor Day weekend advancing to the quarter finals of the U.S. Open. Her 6-3, 7-5 victory over Romanian Virginia Ruzici was her third straight in the tournament. Her next opponent is Betty Stove of the Netherlands, Wimbledon finalist and the fifth seed here. Only five feet tall and 93 pounds, Tracy, of Rolling Hills, Calif., got a congratulatory phone call from Pres. Carter after her Sept. 5 win.
