Riders compete during the annual ''Sword-Headed Boat Racing Festival'' in Nakhon Sawan province, north of Bangkok. The sword-headed boats are modified from fishing boats in Nakhon Sawan province. The bow of the boat curves upwards like a sword so that the boat does not get caught in weeds while fishing, and this is the identity of fishing boats in Nakhon Sawan province.
