(Original Caption) Nashua's trainer, Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons, puts up a name plate for the arrival of the famed race horse at Hialeah Park, December 16th. Nashua was sold the day before a record of $1,251,200 to a Louisville breeding syndicate headed by Leslie Combs II. Fitzsimmons would continue to train Nashua.
