'Freedom' marches in Kashmir capital Protests held outside UNMOGIP Office

SRINAGAR, KASHMIR, INDIA - JULY 29: Kashmiri Muslim protesters shout anti Indian and Pro Kashmir Independence slogans, outside the United Nations Military Observer's Grouping In Indian and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) office, following violence in that has left over 50 people dead and thousands injured, on July 29, 2016 in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. Scores of Kashmiris after Friday prayers marched towards United Nations Military Observer's Grouping In Indian and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) office and tried to submit a memorandum to the UNMOGIP. However Indian government forces used tear smoke shells and rubber bullets to disperse them outside the UNMOGIP office gate. The protesters wanted to handover a memorandum to the UNMOGIP officials and talk to them regarding Kashmir however Indian government forces swung into action and fired tear smoke shells on the protesters. This was after a very long that Kashmiris managed to reach up to the office of UNMOGIP to submit a resolution regarding Kashmir. Indian authorities imposed strict curfew on the 20 day in Kashmir to thwart a march call given by anti-India and pro Kashmir resistance leaders, which aims to protest against the killing of innocents in the valley. Fierce protests in Indian-administered Kashmir over the killing of a young rebel commander Burhan Wani have left over 50 people dead and over 3000 as an ongoing unrest in Indian controlled Kashmir enters its 20 day.
