(Original Caption) Washington: Federal Judge John Sirica made public a letter by James McCord, the "political pressure" was brought to bear on him and other defendants in the Watergate bugging case to keep them quiet. The letter was read by Sirica at the outset of a court session called for sentencing McCord and six others who were convicted or pleaded guilty to burglarizing and bugging the Democratic National headquarters at the Watergate Building.
