Ancient Pottery Revival in China
CHONGQING, CHINA - 2015/09/08: Xiaxing Kiln, a well-preserved ancient kiln relic from Qing Dynasty, is a typical step kiln used for Rongchang pottery production. Rongchang Pottery is made in Rongchang County, southwest of Chongqing, beginning from Han Dynasty and reaching its peak in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Together with Yixing Pottery in Jiangsu, Qinzhou Pottery in Guangxi, and Jianshui Pottery in Yunnan, it is named as four famous types of potteries in China and listed as state-level intangible cultural heritage.
