Reports from the site indicate that the impact was not survivable, and rescuers were not able to recover the bodies of the crew because of extremely steep slopes and unstable snow and ice. This image shows the area where the aircraft went down and highlights the extreme conditions and the rugged terrain of the site. (Photo DigitalGlobe via Getty Images)
