Former Interior Minister Charles Pasqua Trial Opening

PARIS - APRIL 19: Former Minister of Interior Charles Pasqua arrives at the courthouse in Paris for the opening of his trial on April 19, 2010 in Paris, France. Former French interior minister Charles Pasqua goes on trial today charged with corruption while he was part of the cabinet during the 1990s. Pasqua faces three charges for alleged bribes in return for awarding a friend a licence to run a casino. Pasqua has an 18-month suspended prison sentence hanging over him for funding his election campaign for the European Parliament with proceeds of the sale from the casino.
