BETHLEHEM, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - 2014/07/21: Behind plumes of tear gas smoke, a few masked Palestinian youth stand on the front lines. Behind them, an ambulance attempts to rush towards injured youth. For the second week in a row, with only a few days of calm in the streets of Bethlehem, Palestinians from across Bethlehem marched to the military checkpoint in Bethlehem, voicing their anger and resentment at the situation in Gaza. Late Monday night the death toll in Gaza surpassed 500, while seven Israeli soldiers were killed on Monday, bringing the Israeli death toll to 27 soldiers. Tuesday afternoon, the Israeli army had confirmed reports that a soldier by the name of Sargent Oron Shaul was indeed missing. This corroborates reports that were released Sunday evening by the Hamas Izzedine Al-Qassam brigades, stating that they had kidnapped an Israeli soldier.
